Now, attach the bracket to the modified spindle. You will probably have to clearance your spindle to mount the abutment to the bracket. I cut my spindle a little long first, and then clearanced it so that the abutment bolts would go through the bracket. You can see where it was clearanced in the top picture just to the left of the mounting hole. Mount the bracket to the spindle with the 12 mm bolts. I used blue loc-tite. Then attach the hub to the spindle. Slide the C5 rotor onto your hub and then attach the abutment to the spindle with the m14-2.0x35 mm bolts. I bought these bolts from a Fastenal store. They are allen head bolts. That way the spindle doesn't have to be clearanced as much for the bolts to go through the bracket. Again, I used blue loc-tite. Install the pads with the anti-rattle clips. Then, attach the caliper to the abutment. I used my stock brake lines with the C5 banjo bolts. They worked great. Attach the wheel and you're ready for the road. After you bleed the brakes, of course. |
